Fallout Jet inhaler WIP by emptysamurai Fallout Jet inhaler WIP by emptysamurai
For the upcoming webseries Fallout: A Fistful of Bullets.

Jet inhaler designed by [link]. made of 3d printed pvc by Thor Corgard. I just did finishing such as skinning with spot putty, sanding, and painting. still have weathering left to do.

Attempting to cast these from a second one I have laying about.

Digital image copyright of bethesda softworks, shown for comparison to the in game model.

I need to contact the guy doing the casting again. I may have to ship him one to get an accurate estimate of cost per casting. thanks for reminding me.

thanks sally! as always, glad you dig my work. I'm sending you a jar of home made, low sugar, black cap raspberry jam with your order (seperate package to insure that the props arrive safe and un-jammed).

Nice! We were thinking about doing that last year, but my 3D modeling is terrible and I didn't have the pressure casting system set up yet. Are you making any more of those Jet inhalers, or are you just going to have the one printed one?

trying to make more of them. I have 2 at the moment, but I will have at least a dozen in the film even if they must all be printed. I may pick your brain when casting them (unless I could contract out to some enterprising geek at cost in exchange for film credit).....

Sure, let me know. I just got my presure casting system all set up and working and the difference in casting quality is amazing.

I should be ready to have them cast after I get back from wasteland weekend. How much would you guesstimate a run of 30-40 of them if it's not too many (no rush on completion) I was thinking of using some of them as incentive for kickstarter donations. Also, the sons of odin have an ultr-jet lab (hence the sugar bombs box design and the abraxo). funding shouldn't be an issue for casting these.

What do you mean by "how much"? How much resin would it take? I'm not sure what you're asking.

In essence I'm simply asking for the dollar ammount I would need to transfer through paypal to buy the plastic and pay for your experise in making the mold and casting a small mountain of these. the overall cost helps determine how many I can order. outsourcing makes it possible for me to focus on other props such as the scoped laser rifle and plasma defender.

Definitely. I'd need to know the length/width/height of the piece and if the inhaler is in one piece, or broken up into multiple moldable parts. We can totally do 30 or 40, I got the pressure casting down to where it's fast and I get bubble free resin castings of my DMC amulet pendant and gemstones. Send me an email at cglas.studios@gmail.com and we'll discuss details there.
