License plate bracers wip update by emptysamurai License plate bracers wip update by emptysamurai
For Wasteland Weekend. Made from an old pair of boots, a belt, coat hanger chain mail, and old truck license plates.

Still need to rivet the plates down.

we are making better REAL armor quality ones for sale out of 15 oz. leather currently. also do spaulders and pauldrons with a harness system made from leather, license plates, and hand made nail buckles.

made from scavenged stuff. not the kind of thing that's easy to repeat. I could make ones similar from different scavenged stuff but that can be difficult without a person to fit the armor to.

thanks. I'm limited by what I can scavenge as buying stuff for these would be cheating.

even buying from scrap/junk yards? what about yard sales and flea markets? I'm interested in your requirements for "not cheating". Personally the places I listed wouldn't be "cheating" goinging to toys 'r' us and buying guns to customize would be however.

I consider it cheating if I had to pay for it rather than barter or scavenge.

That makes it considerably harder then. I haven't been to many flea markets or junkyards, but they seem like places that might barter... dunno though.

I have heps of stuff I have scavenged for just such stuff. working on a battle axe made from a mauser bolt action shotgun barrel and trigger assembly, part of a riding lawn mower steering column, and a circular saw blade.
